Sit in a Pit - Vineyards and Soil Health

Join Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu and Lobethal viticulturist Tim Bartsch to uncover the links between soil health and thriving vineyards!

With PIRSA’s Amanda Schapel and Soil and Land’s Ed Scott, participants will be walked through a prepared soil pit to outline the importance of different management practices according to the environment.

Participants will also be shown a demonstration trial on variable rate compost spreading, hosted by Tom Jefferies of Elders and supported by the Future Drought Fund through the Farmers 2 Founders TEKFARM program.
