Bush management advice

Support is available from the Kangaroo Island Landscape Board for land managers and the community to conserve and manage native plants and animals on Kangaroo Island.  Local advice and support can be given regarding:

  • identification of native species and habitats
  • recovery of threatened species
  • protection of remnant vegetation
  • revegetation and habitat development
  • long term management of threats to native species, such as fragmentation, weeds and Phytophthora
  • approval and implementation of Heritage Agreement Management Plans
  • development of Landscape Scale Management Plans for priority areas
  • native vegetation clearance applications
  • funding applications for bush management
  • implementing and communicating threatened species, biodiversity monitoring and other scientific programs at a property level.
