Natural Resources Kangaroo Island has developed new and improved methods of providing information about natural resource management issues. Checking out these new methods can reap you benefits in more ways than one!

The Kangaroo Island Natural Resources Management (NRM) Board and the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources have joined together to provide management of most natural resources activities within a single agency (Natural Resources Kangaroo Island). This has led us to improve our communication methods by:• opening the Natural Resources Centre, a one-stop shop for information• developing a new integrated website• erecting new noticeboards.

We want to know what you think of these developments and if you give us feedback via a simple questionnaire you will go into a draw for a range of prizes including heritage accommodation, lighthouse tours and native plants.

View our new website which provides information about the Kangaroo Island NRM Board and the range of projects carried out by Natural Resources Kangaroo Island. You can download a water permit, become a volunteer, get information about parks passes, find out about forthcoming events and lots more. Complete the online questionnaire and submit it.

Alternatively (or as well) visit the Natural Resources Centre at 37 Dauncey Street Kingscote on Thursday 10 or Friday 11 October between 9am–5pm. While you’re there, have a look at the range of resources we offer, our two new noticeboards, native garden and foyer displays. You’ll also find information about the Annual Review of the Business Plan and can view our new website. If you need assistance a staff member will be happy to help. Complete the questionnaire during your visit.

We want you to tell us what you think about the ways we’re trying to connect with the community and how we can improve our communication. Complete the questionnaire either in person or online and you’ll go into the draw to win some great prizes.

Questionnaires must be received by Natural Resources Centre by COB Monday 14 October 2013 to be included in the draw. After that time it will be too late to go into the draw but we’ll still be keen to know your views.

For more information please contact the Natural Resources Centre.
