Walking Trail Closure Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park

The following walking trails have been temporarily closed this year due to seasonal flooding of Murray Lagoon.

• Timber Creek Walking Trail. Flooded

• Bald Hill Walking trail. Flooded

• Curley Creek walking trail. Flooded

This closure relates to high rainfall events this year, leading to a higher than average water level of Murray Lagoon. Most areas are now underwater.The trails will be closed for the rest of winter, or until further notice.

Road Access to Murray Lagoon.

There is still water over the road in several areas around Murray Lagoon.Please take care and slow down for creek crossings, gullies, or low lying areas where water may still be over the road.Check the KI council website for road closure notices; http://www.kangarooisland.sa.gov.au/roads
