Notice of aerial culling- 28 April to 6 May 2024

The Limestone Coast Landscape Board is notifying residents that low flying aerial culling of feral deer will occur from 28 April to 6 May 2024 (weather permitting) across approved areas of participating private land and areas of public land in the Wattle Range Area and surrounds.

These operations involve aerial shooting in managed conservation areas, as well as privately managed plantations, adjacent farms and private properties.

Forestry reserve closures are detailed online at on the ‘before you visit’ page, ‘forest closures and alerts’ tab. Forestry reserves currently included in the operation are: The Marshes, Three Gates Track, Coppings, Frill, McRosties, Mt Burr, Mt Lyon, Overland Track and Whennans.

Pilots will endeavour to minimise disturbance to farm houses, working sheds, horse yards and areas containing livestock.
