Paddock Trees

Power of Paddock Trees

Power of Paddock Trees

Magnificent and majestic large, paddock trees are an icon of the Australian landscape, offering many benefits to the health, productivity and sustainability of farms.

With changing climatic conditions impacting these trees, research suggest that paddock trees could be lost from the Limestone Coast region in as little as 40 years!

Now is the time to act to preserve this Limestone Coast icon.

The much loved trees are a valuable asset providing shelter and shade to stock, habitat for local wildlife including Red-tailed Black-cockatoo and the added benefits of carbon sequestration.

The Limestone Coast Landscape Board in conjunction with Trees for Life are proud to be supporting the Limestone Coast Paddock Tree project. The project aims to increase awareness and education around paddock trees and the opportunities to protect existing trees and plant new ones.
