Paddock Trees

Power of Paddock Trees

Power of Paddock Trees Exhibition

Gum trees have inspired many a good Australian poem, but did you know that some of the famous Hans Heysen paintings were inspired by the Red Gum landscapes of the Limestone Coast?

This exhibition captures the character and beauty of our iconic Limestone Coast landscape of majestic trees, showcasing remnant trees and their value, as well as pairs of images of trees one hundred or more years apart!

In some images, the trees seem to have hardly changed but the surrounding landscape is markedly different; In others, the trees have significantly changed but are still recognisable.
