Work experience for secondary students

The Limestone Coast Landscape Board offers unpaid work experience where you can learn about the fundamentals of a particular job or work environment.

Work experience placements are a great way to get a taste and some insight into a career in landscape management. Successful landscape management requires people with skills, interests and qualifications in:

  • ecology
  • landcare management
  • administration
  • finance
  • marine science
  • agriculture
  • policy
  • project management
  • media and communications
  • Aboriginal culture
  • park rangers
  • and a whole lot more!

If you are interested in a career in soil and land, water management, pest management, biodiversity or community engagement, then you will find a work experience placement with us interesting, educational and fun.

Work experience placements are part of a program that is formally integrated into secondary or post-secondary education. Placements depend on available opportunities, experience you may have had and your aptitude for the role. Work experience applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis, usually by the manager of the relevant work area.
