Padthaway WAP review

A review of the 2009 Water Allocation Plan for Padthaway commenced mid-2019.

Community consultation is an important part of the review. A Stakeholder Advisory Group was formed in June 2019 and, together with the Limestone Coast Landscape Board, will assess the condition of the groundwater resource, develop recommendations and propose amendments to the Padthaway PWA WAP to continue the sustainable management of this valuable community resource.

Visit the groundwater resource condition presentation from the first Stakeholder Advisory Group meeting held in September 2019.

Groundwater modelling

To assist in the review, the DEW Water Science and Monitoring Branch are undertaking modelling of groundwater extraction under a number of different scenarios. This modelling will be used by the Stakeholder Advisory Group and Board staff to help inform the sustainable use of the unconfined groundwater resource.
