Nitrogen Budgeting workshop
Receive a FREE soil test and learn how to create a nitrogen budget to boost your farm’s return on investment. Express your interest now.
Following dry conditions in 2024, this project aims to demonstrate the benefits of pre-season soil testing to make informed fertiliser decisions, with a focus on major soil nutrients such as nitrogen.
Attend a workshop at either Orroroo or Robertstown with your free soil test results to learn how to create a nitrogen budget and boost your ROI.
Orroroo workshop: 18 March, 2025, 9am-12pm
Robertstown workshop: 25 March, 9am-12pm
Interested, but farm elsewhere in the Northern and Yorke region? Submit your interest via this link, and add your location to the “other” option in question 1. We may be able to offer additional programs, subject to funding and demand.
Participants will receive:
- Free soil testing in a paddock of your choice (1 x 0-10cm and 1 x 10-60cm). Plus we can take additional tests in the same paddock at cost price if you would like your paddock zoned.
- Free comprehensive report of your soil test results.
- Free ticket to a 3-hour Nitrogen Budgeting workshop detailing how your results can be used in practice.
What we need from you:
- 3 years of paddock fertiliser application records (products and rates).
- 3 years of paddock agronomic history (crops and yields).
- Participation at the workshop in March/April 2025.
