SA Arid Lands Pastoral Field Day
The SA Arid Lands Pastoral Field Day will take on more of a traditional field day appearance when it returns in 2025.
The one-day event will be held at Port Augusta Racecourse on Thursday 20 March, with a focus on drought preparedness in a way that is both informative and relevant.
Showcasing the latest in AgTech and products, the field day will provide a platform for knowledge sharing and opportunities for social interaction. Feedback from the 2021 field day highlighted the importance of community access to share innovative ideas and practices.
At the event, you will hear from other pastoralists showcasing the latest property trials, guest speakers and you can spend time at the trade stalls, watch on-site demonstrations, and there will be entertainment and activities for children.
Just as the 2021 field day brought together pastoral land managers from across the SA Arid Lands region, this event will provide an opportunity to bring families together and learn and develop in a personal and professional capacity while offering an important social element to build and maintain networks.
The field day will address climate adaptability, business and personal resilience, community cohesion and will highlight the innovative work happening on pastoral properties across the region.
The SA Arid Lands Landscape Board will be calling for stallholder registrations at the end of July. If you are interested in exhibiting at the 2025 Pastoral Field Day, keep an eye on our website and social media channels.
