Grassroots Grants

Grassroots Grants

Grassroots Grants Now Open

The SA Arid Lands Landscape Board’s annual Grassroots Grants program opens on 17 March 2025 with a funding pool of $150,000.

Now in its sixth round, the program funds projects across the region undertaken by volunteers, community groups, not-for-profit organisations and landholders. The funding is provided by your annual Landscape Levy.

Applications are welcomed for grants up to $20,000 to sustainably manage local landscapes through on-ground works and projects.

Projects must address one or more of the board’s priority areas of climate resilience, water management, sustainable land management, protecting and enhancing biodiversity and people and partnerships.

Larger projects will need to display collaboration across multiple stakeholders or properties and all will need to demonstrate strong public benefit.

Applications close at 4pm on Monday 12 May.

The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and Grant Guidelines Both are recommended reading before beginning your grant application. All can be found at https://landscape.smartygrants.com.au/SAALGRG2526.

Contact your Community Landscape Officer or the board office on 8429 9666 to discuss your grant ideas or if you have any questions or concerns about the application process.

Work on successful grants will begin from late July and must be completed by 30 June 2026.
