Fox bait distribution days for the Lower Mid North
Landholders in the Lower Mid North District are encouraged to plan their fox baiting with their neighbours and register for the upcoming 1080 fox bait distribution days.
These distribution days aim to maximise the positive benefits of fox control through a coordinated baiting program between March and July this year.
Natural Resources Northern and Yorke Landscape Ranger Michelle Nairn said that baiting over this three month period aims to reduce fox numbers and increase lambing rates.
“Foxes are a significant pest and have a large impact on agriculture and the environment through predation, spread of weeds and spread of diseases,” Ms Nairn said.
Fox baits will be provided for collection across eight sites over three days to registered landholders at a discounted rate.
