Feedback invited on Northern and Yorke draft Regional NRM Plan

News article |

Now is your chance to have your say on the draft Regional Natural Resources Management Plan for Northern and Yorke, guiding the next decade of natural resources management in our region.

Northern and Yorke NRM Board Presiding Member Eric Sommerville said consultation on the new draft Regional Natural Resources Management Plan will be open until Monday 30 October 2017, with a series of open information sessions taking place over the coming weeks.

“The open information sessions will provide an opportunity for the community to hear from the Board, and provide their feedback on the Plan directly to staff,” Mr Sommerville said.

“This plan is the first of its kind in Australia, having been developed by the community, through the region’s ‘Community Action Planning’ framework.“

“We are proud of the plan that we are putting forward for feedback from the community – it is a result of extensive community engagement over the past two years to define what matters to our community, determine the challenges facing the region, and importantly, identify the opportunities available to us to address these challenges.”

“We invite you to provide your input and feedback on the Plan to make sure that what we have heard and captured is correct.”
