Upcoming feral goat control

News article |

We’re looking for Eyre Peninsula landholders to team up with to be part of upcoming aerial goat control programs.

Feral goats are on the rise across Eyre Peninsula and are a major cause of land degradation through overgrazing. Even in small numbers, feral goats can expand their range and population in a short period of time, when not controlled.

Last year we successfully worked with landholders around the Gawler Ranges and Middleback Ranges, to remove nearly 4,000 feral goats.

If you have feral goats on or near your property, you could be part of our upcoming aerial control program.

To get involved or to find out more, get in touch with your nearest landscape officer. Or email us on EPLBadmin@sa.gov.au with your location and contact details.

Feral goat sightings can be reported via the Feral Scan website. Reporting sightings helps us know where populations are and where control should be focused.
