Shorebird identification workshops

News article |

Avid bird watchers are encouraged to join us at upcoming shorebird identification workshops.

Participants at the free workshops will learn how to identify shorebirds from their distinguishing features and behaviours.

Two workshops will be held - the first in Port Lincoln on February 6 and another in Ceduna on February 8.

Expert presenter Dan Lees from BirdLife Australia will share a range of helpful bird watching tips and tricks such as how to use bird watching equipment. There’ll also be a brief overview of beach nesting birds.

Participants will travel to a local beach in the second half of each session to put their newly acquired skills into practice.

We’re pleased to support these workshops along with National Parks and Wildlife Service SA.

For the Port Lincoln workshop, RSVP by February 2 to Rachael Kannussaar on EPLBadmin@sa.gov.au or 0427 975 903.

For the Ceduna workshop, RSVP by February 2 to Libby Hunt at libby.hunt@sa.gov.au or 0437 701 810.
