Lincoln National Park tracks reopen to visitors

News article |

Tracks, including the popular Sleaford to Wanna track, have now been reopened within Lincoln National Park following the containment of a fire burning in the park’s west last week.

The reopening includes two additional tracks, the Tulka to Sleaford track and the Sleaford Mere track, which had until now been closed to the public so the necessary fire fighting and mop-up activities could be undertaken.
Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources Fire Manager Officer Joe Tilley said the fire is now contained.
“Although contained, smoke may still be visible in the area. We will still continue to monitor and patrol the area,” Mr Tilley said.
