Coordinated fox baiting the key - Lower Eyre Peninsula

Starting this month, eligible land managers can collect free fox baits and discuss their property baiting programs with Natural Resources Officers at a number of convenient locations across Lower Eyre Peninsula. Natural Resources Officer Lana Roediger says that it’s important for land managers to work strategically with neighbours to conduct fox baiting at the same time.

Two beaked whales strand

Two beaked whales have stranded themselves and died on South Australia’s west coast. Natural Resources Eyre Peninsula Public Lands Manager Tim Hall said the two whales become stranded on the coast of Lincoln National Park on the state’s west coast overnight.

Natural Resources Eyre Peninsula is encouraging locals and visitors to get back to nature and enjoy what marine parks have to offer. Marine Parks Regional Coordinator Shelley Harrison said the Eyre Peninsula region provides access to 10 of the state’s 19 marine parks, more than any other region in the state.
