Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu Stewardship Program

Supporting land managers to be the best stewards they can be embracing their role in caring for land, water and nature.

The Stewardship Program is a new approach to our service delivery, dividing the region into three districts (Fleurieu Peninsula, Eastern Hills and Plains, and Adelaide Hills). Each district has a specialised team of stewardship officers on-hand to support land managers in caring for land, water and nature.

Our region is a beautiful and prosperous place, but many of its natural systems are in decline. Climate change will amplify existing challenges, and throw new challenges at us too. To reverse the decline, respond to climate change and build regional prosperity, we need to be courageous and creative, and act with urgency. We can achieve incredible things if we work together with shared goals and commitment by building partnerships with land managers and communities to enhance their capacity.
