Emergency preparedness, response and recovery plan
In response to the Cudlee Creek bushfire and other recent extreme events, we have collaborated with regional partners to develop the 'Land, water nature - emergency preparedness, response, and recovery plan for the Hills and Fleurieu region'. The plan aims to reduce the impact of catastrophic events on species, ecosystems, and natural capital assets, and to help organizations involved in landscape management prepare and plan for recovery. It includes:
- Preparedness Actions: Measures to reduce the risk of natural hazards occurring and mitigate their impact on natural assets.
- Biodiversity Advice: Guidance on biodiversity assets of conservation concern to inform emergency response efforts.
- Post-Event Recovery Actions: Steps for the recovery of ecosystems and natural assets following an event.
This plan was funded by the Australian Government Natural Heritage Trust and delivered by the Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board, as a member of the Commonwealth Regional Delivery Partners panel.
