Join our Community Engagement Committee and help shape the future of our landscapes
Are you motivated to support positive outcomes for land, water and nature in your community? Would you like to be part of conversations on community engagement in environmental programs locally?
The Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board is seeking 2-3 dedicated community members to join the Community Engagement Committee and help guide important projects within the region.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide input on key engagement activities such as the Grassroots Grants, the development of the new 5-year Landscape Plan, and water planning initiatives. We’re looking for individuals who have a deep connection to the local community and a passion for environmental care.
Why get involved?
By joining the committee, you’ll have the chance to help strengthen the connection between the Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board and the community we serve. You’ll work closely with fellow members and the Landscape Board to ensure that the voices of local people are heard in important environmental conversations.
The Community Engagement Board meets as needed with an aim of quarterly. Committee members are eligible to receive remuneration at a set sessional rate for meetings and out of session responsibilities.

If you’re interested in joining the Community Engagement Committee, please send an expression of interest (maximum of 1 page) to Hf.LandscapeBoard@sa.gov.au by 31 March 2025.
Your submission should outline the following:
- Your connection to the local community
- Your skills, experience, or qualifications in community engagement
- Your interest in caring for our landscapes and your motivation for applying for this committee position
