Have your say on the future of our region
The Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board is updating the 5-Year Landscape Plan.
This plan guides how we care for land, water, nature, climate, and work with community across the region. It sets priorities for investment, partnerships, and action, and aims to ensure our landscapes are healthy, resilient, and productive for future generations.
Why this update matters
Since the plan was first made, our region has seen many changes influenced by the effects of climate change and extreme weather, changes in community priorities and new land management practices.
This new plan is a chance to reflect, adapt, and make sure our actions continue to meet the needs of our landscapes and the people who care for them.
How the plan is being shaped
We have been engaging with landholders, First Nations communities, councils, environmental groups, and the broader public to gather ideas and input. These insights will help shape the updated plan and ensure it reflects the values and priorities of our region.
This input will be used to prepare a draft of the next Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Plan in late 2025. The draft plan will be released for consultation in early 2026.

We’ll be sharing updates throughout the process, including opportunities to get involved and drafts of the updated plan. Sign up for our newsletters or follow us on Facebook and LinkedIn to stay in the loop.
