Protecting our region from feral deer

Protecting our region from feral deer

Feral deer are an invasive species and pose significant threats to agriculture and the environment in the Hills and Fleurieu. They can also lead to illegal hunting and create safety risks on our roads.

Every one of us—landholders, deer farmers and community members — has a role in safeguarding our region from these impacts.

Now is the vital moment to eradicate feral deer in the Hills and Fleurieu before their populations grow. Taking action now will help us protect our land and prevent future damage.

Through the Feral Deer Eradication Program, we’re assisting landholders in removing feral deer from our area.

If you have feral deer on your property, we may be able to help.
