Greenly Beach Revegetation Site

Greenly Beach Revegetation Site

Since European occupation this area has been subjected to overgrazing by stock and rabbits and impacted by unrestricted offroad vehicles. Natural regeneration of the vegetation is slow at this windy site where soil is easily eroded by the wind.

Revegetation of this area began in 2014 and is an ongoing initiative of Lower Eyre Coastcare, the Lake Wangary School and the local community. Here we are monitoring the change in vegetation health following these revegetation works.
