Free tickets to the 2024 Thriving Women Conference up for grabs
The Kangaroo Island Landscape Board is extending an exclusive offer to three island women connected to agriculture - free tickets to WoTL’s prestigious Thriving Women Conference This unique opportunity will take place at the Adelaide Hills Convention Centre in Hahndorf on 12 and 13 August 2024.
Kangaroo Island Landscape Board Chair Andrew Heinrich said Thriving Women is the premier conference event for women living and working in agriculture and associated industries.
"The Board is deeply committed to supporting the invaluable contributions of women in agriculture on Kangaroo Island. Their pivotal roles in the day-to-day operations of primary production, natural resource management, and rural communities are truly indispensable," Mr Heinrich said.
"Moreover, women are also instrumental in agribusiness and related industries, including the crucial areas of processing, marketing, and value-adding of agricultural commodities," Mr Heinrich said.
Board Member and owner of Innovative Influences Jeanette Gellard is covering the cost of accommodation for three Kangaroo Island women in agriculture to attend the conference as well.
“The conference offers a stimulating and supportive environment that encourages the development of networks, knowledge, and skills through participation and contact with other women,” Ms Gellard said.
“It will link women from rural and urban backgrounds to formal and informal networks and provide opportunities for professional development and self-expression during and post conference,” she said.
“I would encourage women working the fields of primary production, agriculture and associated industries to attend the conference.”
The conference attendance is capped at 200.
To secure your spot at the conference please submit an expression of interest of 150 words or less describing why you would like to attend the event.

Successful applications will receive a full conference ticket (includes the Conference Dinner), shared accommodation on site, pooled car travel to and from the conference, and a meal allowance.
