Volunteer Celebration Day

The region's environmental volunteers will be celebrated at an event to be held at Pichi Richi Park on Sunday 8 November.

Volunteers play an important role in caring for the Landscape in the SA Arid Lands. They assist with environmental and land management projects, control weeds, tend to community gardens and undertake a myriad of other activities.

The celebration event will provide an opportunity to hear from some volunteer groups undertaking ongoing environmental work in the region such as Pepper Tree and cactus control.

Members of the public interested in getting involved, or hearing about new projects to get involved in are also invited to attend.

Accommodation is available for those travelling to attend the event.

Registration is open until Monday 26 November at https://events.humanitix.com/volunteer-celebration-aridlands

This event is offered through the Outback SA Drought Resilience Plan.
