Soils

Soils

Soil extension is a collaborative project between eight Landscape Boards that delivers soils science to help land managers understand and improve their soil health. Improvements in soil health will result in improved productivity, profitability and environmental outcomes.

The project, which is led by the Limestone Coast Landscape Board, employs seven soil extension officers working across all eight landscape regions. The soil extension officers form the core of a community-of-practice network, and work collaboratively with land managers, industry and agriculture groups, soil specialists and researchers across the state to deliver extension activities, including education resources, demonstration sites and case studies.
