Grassroots Grants now open
The seventh-round of the board’s Grassroots Grants round is open now for applications.
There is $150,000 available for volunteer groups, schools and community organisations, recreational groups, property owners and individuals with projects and activities to build the region’s environmental resilience and sustainability.
Funding is available for projects valued between $1000 and $20,000. It will be awarded on merit to projects that demonstrate the best value for money and the delivery of benefits that align with the board’s priorities of climate resilience, water management, sustainable land management, protecting and enhancing biodiversity and people and partnerships.
Grants can be used for projects that support activities such as revegetation, pest and weed control, protection of threatened species, training, citizen science, environmental surveys and community events. Work must be completed by 14 June 2027.
