Volunteers

Volunteers play a major role in landscape management in the SA Arid Lands region. Their contribution of time, energy, expertise, equipment and resources is extremely valuable and underpins the sustainable management of our region's natural resources.

The majority of the volunteering work in the region is done by various self sufficient groups with support from SA Arid Lands Landscape Board in the form of training, expertise, insurance and risk management assistance.

The South Australian Arid Lands region is a unique and amazing place. As a volunteer, you will directly contribute to the welfare of the environment and the well-being of the communities in the region. Many people never get the chance to see the beautiful and remote locations that our volunteers visit, making it a very special experience.
