Weather Stations

Access to rainfall, wind speed and temperature data across the region significantly increased when weather stations were placed across the region.

Four stations were placed across the region in a weather station project delivered by the SA Arid Lands Landscape Board with funding secured by the Outback Communities Authority through the Australian Government’s Drought Communities Program.

These four stations were in addition to one that had earlier been placed at William Creek to provide information in a 'weather blackspot'.
