Volunteer support

Volunteer support

We offer support for volunteer groups or individual volunteers working on landscape management and conservation activities in the SA Arid Lands region. We provide access to funding, training, safety and insurance, plus technical advice and resources.

  • Funding
    • Our annual Grassroot Grants program is available for projects valued between $1000 and $20,000. Grants can be used for projects that support activities such as revegetation, pest and weed control, protection of threatened species, training, citizen science, environmental surveys and community events.
  • Insurance
  • Training
    • Volunteering SA & NT offer a variety of training opportunities. They provide free and low-cost training for volunteers, volunteer managers/coordinators and volunteering-involving organisations. If your group has specific training needs e.g. first aid, cultural awareness, plant ID, you can contact us for assistance.
  • Connections
    • We can link you with landholders who are seeking volunteer assistance on their property. We can also help your group connect with First Nations people in the community for decision making, cultural awareness, and for opportunities to engage.

If you are interested in volunteering with us or any of our volunteering programs please contact the SAAL Landscape Board.
