Posted 15 July 2019.

A Chemcert accreditation course held at Yunta and coordinated by the North East Pastoral NRM Group attracted 17 people from the region.

The training covered safe chemical handling, reading labels, minimising the risk of off target damage, integrated pest management and reducing herbicide resistance. The training was subsidised by the South Australian Arid Lands NRM Board.

Troy Bowman from PIRSA also spoke to the group about cactus, boxthorn, athel pine and pepper tree control, property management plans and emerging technologies in weed control.
