Water workshop held at Kingoonya

Posted 15 July 2019.

More than half of the region’s properties were represented at a geomorphology workshop held at Kingoonya in May.

Presenter Dr Gresley Wakelin-King shared her understanding of arid zone landscapes, described water movement and explained how different landscapes responded to water.

The 19 participants had an opportunity to discuss fit-to-landscape works and looked at tools that could help with property mapping for landscape processes to help plan rehabilitation works.

This project was supported by the SA Arid Lands NRM Board through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
