Program will fund water security and drought resilience projects

The new Improving Great Artesian Basin Drought Resilience (IGABDR) program will help fund projects contributing to water security and drought resilience in the Great Artesian Basin.

Owners of completed wells within the GAB are now invited to lodge an expression of interest to be involved in the IGABDR program.

Suitable projects will include:

  • replacement of aging wells
  • decommissioning of wells
  • installation of water-tight distribution infrastructure
  • replacement of aging water distribution infrastructure
