Best outdoor site attracts hundreds of visitors at field day

News article |

Hundreds of visitors flowed through Northern and Yorke Landscape Board's site on the first day of the Yorke Peninsula Field Days at Paskeville yesterday.

The site, named Best Outdoor Site, attracted people from as far as Eyre Peninsula and Adelaide and was a hive of activity throughout the day. Crowd favourites - native species from Animals Anonymous - kept visitors entertained. There were lizards, snakes, crocodiles, marsupials and a tawny frogmouth called Woody. The site, part of the Greens Plains Track, meant children came by to collect a native seed bomb ready for planting. Our team also offered hands-on landscape management advice, from pest control and water care tips to building biodiversity and how to get involved in community projects. Our carbon farming and soil health experts were also on hand to answer questions.
