Carbon Farming Outreach Program

The Carbon Farming Outreach Program is designed to educate and empower farmers, land managers and communities to confidently navigate the carbon space and better understand on-farm emissions reduction and carbon storage practices. This program has been developed to cut through the overwhelming amount of information available and offer farmers a non-biased view of what carbon farming is and what it means for them.

Carbon Farming Outreach Program

The eight Landscape Boards across South Australia, including the Northern and Yorke Landscape Board, have teamed up to hold free workshops to upskill land managers in carbon farming and emissions reduction.

These workshops provide free, independent advice to rural land managers on:

  • Understanding carbon farming,
  • How to calculate on-farm emissions,
  • Participating in carbon markets,
  • Understanding the governing regulations and
  • Connecting with like-minded land managers.

We are excited to continue delivering these workshops in the Northern and Yorke region. To register your interest, please email elly.pratt@sa.gov.au.
