Pest plants and animals

Pest plants and animals can pose significant threats to agriculture, the natural environment and public health and safety across the Northern and Yorke region. The Northern and Yorke Landscape Board works closely with land managers to find ways of reducing the number of pests, help restore native biodiversity and reduce losses in the agricultural industry.

The Board has implemented a pest management program to:

  • prevent the establishment of identified high risk pests
  • assess and prioritise existing pests
  • raise awareness of priority pests, their identification and control
  • access information and advice about pest control.
