Free webinar highlights support and benefits for farmers cutting emissions

This webinar brings together industry and finance experts to explain, in clear and practical terms, what emissions reporting and sustainability expectations mean for farmers - including the support, incentives and potential benefits available to landholders seeking to reduce on-farm emissions.

The session will feature two expert speakers with direct experience working alongside farmers and agribusinesses.

Daria Twist, Senior Agribusiness Manager at NAB, will outline how NAB is supporting Australian agribusinesses through the climate transition. Her presentation will focus on climate risk management and green finance solutions, highlighting practical steps and incentives that may support farmers to adopt sustainable practices and reduce emissions.

Laura Grubb, Sustainability and Engagement Specialist at Greenham Australia, will provide an industry and market perspective on carbon and sustainability. She will explore what is driving the growing focus on emissions across meat supply chains, how processors and customers are responding, and how producers can position their businesses to take advantage of emerging opportunities.

This webinar is designed to give farmers and land managers easy-to-understand information, real-world examples and clear context, helping them navigate emissions reporting and sustainability conversations with confidence.

Part of a state-wide carbon farming webinar series

The February webinar is the first in a free, state-wide Carbon Farming Webinar Series being delivered by landscape boards across South Australia as part of the Carbon Farming Outreach Program.

Running from 17 February to 8 May 2026, the series features trusted industry, finance and technical experts who break down carbon farming and emissions reduction topics in plain language, with a strong focus on practical on-farm benefits and available support.

This session combines science and paddock experience to explore how fertiliser decisions influence emissions, input costs and productivity.

  Presented by Jim Meckiff, livestock consultant and founder of JM Livestock, with more than 20 years’ experience supporting sheep producers through genetics, reproduction and data-driven management. This webinar will unpack how genetic selection can improve productivity, reduce emissions intensity and support future market access.
