Our role
The Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board (the board) is responsible for administering the Landscape South Australia Act 2019, which is the new framework for managing the state’s land, water, pest plants and animals, and biodiversity, within the new Murraylands and Riverland region.
Our key priorities are outlined in the Regional Landscape Plan, with a stronger focus on climate resilience and biodiversity to support the development of resilient landscapes and sustainable primary production.

Our committees
The Finance Committee oversees the financial management of the Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board including the review of financial policies and procedures, the mitigation of governance risks and the identification of opportunities to help the Board ensure its resources are used efficiently and effectively.
The Water Advisory Committee engages community stakeholders to guide policy and consultation options for water allocation planning, provide the landscape board with community feedback on current water issues and support the sustainable environmental management of the region’s rivers, lakes and wetlands.
The Box Flat Wild Dog Coordinating Committee provides advice to the Murrayands and Riverland and Limestone Coast Landscape Boards on the management of wild dogs that may impact primary industries within the local government areas of Tatiara, Southern Mallee and the eastern part of the Coorong.
