About Grassroots Grants

Grassroots Grants support communities in the Murraylands and Riverland region to undertake projects and activities that help to build the environmental resilience and sustainability of our region.

Community groups, individuals and not-for-profit organisations are eligible to apply for funding towards activities such as revegetation, weed control, training activities, citizen science projects, small equipment purchase, environmental surveys and seed funding for community events. Project ideas must align with the landscape board’s priorities and focus areas outlined in the Regional Landscape Plan.

Applications for Grassroots Grants are open annually in March. To be notified of future funding opportunities, please subscribe to The News.

Grassroots Grants are funded by the Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board through the landscape levies.
