Our Young Environmental Leaders (YEL) students have ended the year on a high, attending our recent Sustainable Agriculture forums at Loxton and Lowaldie.

Students were able to see first-hand how trial sites are used, explored soil health with pH testing, soil ribboning and digging up some fairly soiled undies which had been buried to demonstrate soil microbes.

Getting up close with some of the machinery and watching field peas being harvested was also a highlight!

A big thanks goes to our hosts, the Loller family, and Bulla Burra for making these forums possible.

Also, a shout out to our Sustainable Agriculture team for providing knowledge and activities, Eric Cook from RMMAC for welcoming us to Country at both events, RMYC students for their assistance, and our schools, teachers, parents and helpers who bring the students to these events.
